Eyeshine

For a while now, I've been listening to a band named Eyeshine. I discovered the band last year in November and I've been a fan ever since. The band consist of Maurice Salmin (plays the drums, piano and does back vocals), Crystal Mesina (plays the bass and back vocals), Daniel (Ji Ho) Lee (plays lead guitar) and Johnny Yong Bosch (lead vocals and rhythm guitar). The band was formed in 2004 and is from West Hill, California. Their sound can be describe as "edge rock" and they have been compared to bands such as: Taking Back Sunday, 30 Seconds to Mars, Jimmy Eat World and Angels & Airwaves just to name a few. They have released 5 albums since 2006. Their 4th album Tone of Echoes was released last year and they have recently released their acoustic album Afterglow this year. They are currently working on a instrumental album to be released in the near future. Eyeshine has gained fans from all across the globe thanks to their performances at AnimeCons/conventions, Battle of the Band gigs and for being in the finals for gimmethegig contest (which was held earlier this year). Eyeshine is currently unsigned but that hasn't stopped them from performing or releasing music.

Note: On May 9, 2011, their current lead guitarist Eddie Colmenares left the band to pursue a different career in music. On May 16, 2011 Daniel (Ji Ho) Lee would replace Eddie as lead guitarist.
